final build, last changes, need opinions/suggestions to better improve before i pull the trigger

Hi Guys,

So after several weeks of reading and planning my build and asking around, i have finally decided on my final build.
So the build's purpose is for gaming at 1080p at max settings. I'm planning to steady OC my CPU to probably around 4.3ghz-4.5ghz max.
Hoping for a blue and black theme(not very important) - worst case that i dont follow my color scheme, i'll just put a logisys led light like this ()
Hopefully, what i came up with is the most optimized build that I could put up. Few final dilemma that i have are the MOBO and the CPU Cooler so i hope you guys could convince me that either i have the best option already or i could have something better with the same price.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Scythe Ashura
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Crucial M550 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Palit GeForce GTX 970 4GB JetStream Video Card
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Reason for picking the motherboard:

***still considering the asus z97 pro gamer even if it has a different color scheme

CPU Cooler:
torn between the scythe ashura/mugen 4/xigmatek dark knight/CM hyper 212x which all have good reviews and are priced similarly
decided to go with the Scythe Ashura because of this review http://www.techpower...e/Ashura/9.html
Let me know your thoughts :)

What do you guys think?
Please do note that if you're going to suggest replacement, it is subject to availability with the store(philippines) i'm planning to buy which is linked below. and hopefully budget is same with the replacement.

Thanks.

More about final build opinions suggestions improve pull trigger
  1. I think your power supply is inadequate, especially if you plan to overclock later. Good make, just not enough output. Bump it up by 150W or so.
  2. Everything in your build is very good, maybe you are aiming a little high on your oc, but its a lottery, so who knows. The mobo is very good, i would have picked the 212 evo as a cooler, but its an excellent build just like that.

Completely unnecesary for a gtx 970/4690k combo. The cpu will need about 120w and the gpu 160w tops. You are fine with that.

Thanks for the comments. I'm actually a beginner in overclocking so while i would still like to aim for 4.5ghz in the future, i would like to initially OC in the "safe zone" if there is such a thing. What would you recommend would my starting OC be? And would all my parts be able to handle that. As well as when i go for 4.5ghz or will i have to upgrade anything?

EDIT: I'm actually now hesitating to buy the extreme 4 due to this issue by other users http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/2jrt1b/psarequest_possible_reoccurring_problem_with_the/
Do you think the z97 pro 4 could also give me the same result with the extreme 4?

The extreme 4 is an excellent mobo, you will be fine with it, theres always someone out there with problems with their purchase, With the oc, i think you should be aiming at 4.2, maybe 4.3 ghz., unless you live in a cold area. And, asumming you get an average cpu (because ocing is a lottery, you can get a really good one, or a really bad one) you will need to get a better cpu cooler in able to reach 4.5. Something like the Phanteks PH-TC12DX.
