Overclocking FX 8350 with the stock HSF.

I just overclock my fx8350 with the stock hsf at 4.2ghz - 1.4Vcore with the maximum temperature of 73C using prime95 and coretemp.

My problem is, I think having a 1.4vcore to have a 4.2ghz stable is so damn high.
I don't have the money to buy a decent liquid cooler, I live in a country with a expensive computer parts. How can I manage to overclock this cpu maybe at 4.4ghz or 4.5ghz?

Clearly temp is what preventing you from getting stable overclocking, Max temp for a FX 8350 is of 61 C and should never get higher than 70 C.

My 8350 run at max temps at 67 C 1.44 V with liquid cooling. Oh and core temps doesn't give right temperature. If it say 73, then you were around 85-90 C which is VERY dangerous for a FX-8350.

Most software have problem reading AMD CPU temp sensor. Use Motherboard socket temp for a more accurate temperature. software such as HWinfo, HWmonitor will be able to give you proper informations.

until you have a better cooler, do not overclock with the stock cooler or you will just run the risk of damaging your CPU and/or motherboard

there are decent low price air coolers that will be able to provide decent cooling of moderate overclocks

low price coolers I have used in the past on the FX 8350 that have done a fairly good and sometimes great job are:
Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro Rev 2
Xigmatek Gaia
Cooler master Hyper 212 Evo

If buying a new cooler is simply something you cannot do at the moment, then don't overclock until you can
