Hi,
I wanted to know if it is true that
A Z97 is better at overclocking than a Z87 and it handles temperature better?

If it's true, which of these three would you recommend?
Asrock Z97 Fatal1ty Killer
Asrock Z97 Extreme4
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5

These 3 mobo's are in my budget and can't afford others.

Asrock Z97 Extreme4..........

I think the reason/confusion about Z97 OCing better is related to the fact that Intel released two Devil's Canyon CPUs (4690K & 4790K) along with the Z97 chipset.

These CPUs are supposed to have a better internal thermal compound which (in theory) could mitigate some of the heat issues overclockers had with earlier Haswell chips.

In fact, Devil's Canyon CPUs work fine in Z87 chipsets, as long as you can get an updated BIOS which supports them. In that case they should overclock just as well too, as Z97 didn't introduce anything aimed at improved overclocking.
