Hello Guys! So I was just wondering what you guys think about the parts i'm picking for my first ever gaming PC. I'm also not planning on overclocking or anything, but furthermore the parts that I currently have in mind are....

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 LGA 1150
GPU: XFX AMD Radeon 7870 (Currently being used in my PC, trying to save money here ya'll)
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR30-1866 Memory
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1tb 3.5" 7200RPM
PSU: Antec High CUrrent Gamer 520W 80+ Bronze Certified (Taken from my current PC bought just a few months ago)
OD: ASUS DRW-24B1ST
(Not really a hardware part but for the final touch :p) Antec Nine Hundred ATX Mid Tower or CM Storm Stryker Full Tower (WHITE) That my brother already has and will hopefully give up to me.

So what's your intake on this PC guys? Should I just go cheap and just get a AMD FX6300 with a compatible MOBO or stick with what I've already planned for, because the FX6300 was what I was originally going for because I was on a budget. Also it'd be great if some of you guys could let me know if my PSU wattage is enough for this build also if all my parts are compatible with eachother. If you have some other suggestions, SHOOT! I'm open to all ideas.. But then again I'm trying to save money over here xD.

that psu is good. you say you have a current PC, what are it's specs?
The i5 is a good choice even if it is a little more expensive. It will last you a lot longer than an fx6300. You will end up going with a couple gpu upgrade cycles before you have the need to replace the cpu. If your not overclocking you dont need a Z series motherboard and you dont need a sli/xfire support motherboard if your not going to use that. I would recommend against ever xfiring the 7870, just sell it when you want to upgrade and buy a single faster card.

My current PC is actually a factory manufactured gateway PC purchased from bestbuy.. Definitely not considered a gaming PC whatsover but the Antec 500w and the GPU were purchased seperately after years of use with the PC, in which I decided to upgrade so I got a Radeon 7870 along with a new PSU. What is a MOBO that you recommend for me if I'm not gonna be overclocking and is long lasting and of decent price?? Also what card do you think would go good with this build?

you could put a gtx970 if you have that kind of money. For less money a r9 280x would be a good upgrade from a 7870. Anything from a reputable motherboard manufacturer by gigabyte, asus or asrock with the features you require will be fine.

Well.. Non K CPU on a Z97 board is a bad choice to start with unless you plan upgrading to a K version down the line. but then a 4690 seems alot of money to upgrade soon?

if you don't plan on overclocking at all and keeping the 4690 for sometime, just go with a H97 board.
