All my folders on my external drives are appearing but when i open them, its appearing as unknown file!!!, ckeck disk has been run and no bad sectors found.
Recuva has been run and i hav only been able to retrieve some pictures, but not all my documents & movies. How can i repair the path of the folders.

Hi there Izdihaar,

I would advise you to start with something simple as just trying the drive on another system with another USB cable.
If the issue persists, then I guess the files got damaged in some way. It may be a good idea to use several different data recovery tools. Just keep in mind not to overwrite the data in some way.
Also, you need to check whether the drive appears to be fine in Disk Management.

Unless I am reading your post wrong it looks like you are saying that the file isn't sure what program is needed to open it. Try right clicking on one of the files and then telling it what to open with and see if you can access it that way.
