Ok so here's the deal.
I like to game but I also like to dabble with after effects CC.
Currently I have a 4790k running @4.7gb
32GB 2133 ram
And a R9 290X 4GB
Gigabyte Z97x gaming 7 board.
I have started editing more recently with raytraced 3D but also like to game so need a nvidia card to help with the rendering, what I can't decide or figure out is which card to get.

A 780ti, 780 6gb, 980 4GB or a titan black.

Now I'd prefer it to be most future proof and highest compatibility with DX12 but also game well to (I edit 4k video on dual 1080p monitors).
So any advice or input from eexperiences would be greatly appreciated :)

For After Effects Rendering A 4790k will do very well for this, because rendering is done mostly on the cpu is it not? As a graphics card I would recommend the 980, because it is a newer card which has more features, and it is cheap compared to Titan Black. For rendering the Titan And the 290x are much better, as the Titan has more Cuda cores and the 290X has increased OpenGL performance.
