so i was thinking of changing the stock cooler that came with my i5 4440 cpu
my idle temps are 34-38degreeC
under load while gaming it goes to 46-51C
so how much can the deep cool gamer storm gabriel bring down the temps
im not interested on getting a cooler master , or any tower like coolers or suggest a good mini itx cooler with a budget from a 30-50$

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THANKS FOR READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larger heatsink and a bigger fan are why it would make it cooler than the stock heatsink. Why are you upgrading though? Your temps are fine. Are you planning on overclocking or do you just want a new one just to have it?

other than the temps , i like that cooler so much .. so you are saying that there will be no difference on switching the cooler {not even a 5C lower} ?? and the stock intel's cooler is one ugly duckline!!

You will get better temps but as far as improving performance when gaming (for instance an FPS improvement), you won't see any gains. The temperature change could be seen as a performance improvement, but a very small one since your current temperatures are all completely fine.

In the end it is all what you want. If you like that cooler more and don't mind spending the money on it, then go for it. I have stuff in my box that I don't truly "need" as it is something I wanted instead. But if you are being realistic, the upgrade to the new cooler won't do much for you outside of being more aesthetically pleasing.

The one thing it will do is allow you to overclock a bit in the future as you will already have a better cooling unit. But if you don't plan on OCing the chip at all, then there will really never be a reason to leave the stock cooler unless you start having heat issues or it fails.

Ok, so there really won't be much of a difference now or going forward then performance wise. So the choice to buy is ultimately up to whether or not you want it to have it. It will cool a bit better, it will look nicer, but at the end of the day the current temps under load are fine.

But, if it is something you want, go for it. Like I said, I have purchased things that I don't really "need" for my box, but just have the correct expectations when doing so.
