all these items will be here friday, I am concern if the ram will be compatible with the motherboard?

It is compatible but you may need to enable XMP in the BIOS and manually set the voltage @1.65v. You also might need to manually set the speed @2400mhz.

What will you be using this for?

all compatible, there is no "may have to" about setting the RAM speed, you WILL have to go into BIOS and set the XMP profile.

I hope you bought Windows 8.1 or Win7 Professional, since Win7 Home doesn't support more than 16GB RAM
