Be very cautious of Hydro Series™ H100i GTX Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler!

Greetings,

Yesterday I purchased the newest [third generation] Hydro Series cooler from Corsair, h100i GTX. Everything seemed fine, until the moment I start up the system. [from this moment I'll always carry small uATX computer with me, that has USB/Fan header, so I can test things like these :/].

I was horrified. The pump is so noisy, it must've been around 50db, maybe more [didn't catch it well with camera.].

Manual didn't mention how to use circle spacers too, so it was all very bad. Here are my videos.

This post is here for Your caution! whenever You buy h100i gtx, or h110i gt [they should use similiar pump], always test it asap, best at shop, whether it works, so You won't have Yourself a hard time with RMA.

I have used H100i on my last 2 rigs and I was fine, no problems at all...
Don't know about the new H100i GTX because it just came on a market 1 week ago, but it seems to me that this pump has a malfunction, that sound is not normal...

Better ask for a replacement.

I've seen a few with pump problems over the last year. More not working or low rpm than just noisy.

Most problems seem to be with OPs not wiring them up right. I gather the gtx with the H80i waterblock/pump and Corsair Link set up should be a bit more straight forward to hook up.
