I resently upgraded to an Intel i5 4690k and a Z97 motherboard from an FX 8320, When i was using the 8320, my R9 290 showed up to have 4GB of VRAM in all programs that displayed the detected memory from the card. On my i5 4690k, programs only detect 3GB, which is pretty odd. Steam's big picture mode displays 3GBs, and COD:AW displays 2850MB... Im not sure what the problem is. I am positive my R9 290 has 4GB of VRAM(I do not believe that AMD makes a 3GB version of the card), and I have reinstalled the graphics driver multiple times. Please help if you have the spare time and are lookin to help a lad out :).

P.S. Please no fanboyism.

No idea what it could be, have you tried using driver sweaper to get rid of the old drivers before installing the new ones? Another idea is to update your Mobo BIOS, could be outdated and not support the latest graphics cards.

Thanks for the reply spat55. My mobo BIOS is up to date, and i did get rid of all graphics card drivers using ddu before reinstalling.
