Portforwaring wont work even though everything is done correctly(Huawei b593s-22)

Hello,

My router is a Huawei b593s-22.

I know that there are many threads like this around but none of them could fix my problem!

Whenever I try to portforward any port, I think I do everything correctly but the portforwarding does not trigger!
Take for example:

I put in my IPv4 correctly and the ports are correct, I am using an application i made to connect and i know its not its fault because I can connect locally and when I give the server to one of my friends who has the ports forwarded on their router, it works!

Also, I used the PortForward Network Utilities to check if the port is forwarded and it said that its not and I also used many of the online websites but I dont trust those since there is nothing that can receive their request on my pc......


This problem happened to me on this router and the router i had before it so I am thinking the problem is from me?
It used to work on this router but now it doesnt.... Also, my ISP is just useless they dont even know what Portforwarding is....

Edit: I tried turning off my antivirus's firewall and the router's firewall and it still wouldnt work!
I opened DMZ on my ip and it still wouldnt work! What is wrong??

I used a program called Smart Port Forwarding. I was having issues getting netgear to open my ports correctly for some BF4 servers. I downloaded that, within a minute of punching in the ports I needed, I was connecting.

this is the video that I used, now of course its geared for BF4, but the same sort of deal applies. Plug in your ports and let it run, then test it.

I will add, sometimes it acts like the port does not get opened, siimply right click the port you set, click edit, then just click ok again. Just a small hiccup that happened to me a few times when I was plugging in roughly 30 ports for several games. BTW the beauty of this program, it can be set to run at startup and its FREEEEEEE.

I followed the video's instructions and did everything as it said(except for the IP and port number which i changed to what i need) but, when I used the Portforward Network Utilities to check if the port is open, it said that the port is locked by another program. And, the portchecking website says that the port is closed. But, like I said I dont trust those websites, so, I am going to have to try it with somebody connecting to me but unfortunately there is nobody i can try with right now....

So, I will try later and i will tell u if it worked or not.

okay, well I hope you get it straightened out. I know a lot of times the ISP will have to supply you with a static IP before you can really open ports and keep them open. The way my ISP works, since I don't have a static IP, my IP that I access the internet through will change, sometimes randomly and sometimes when I refresh my connection.

I know one step that you may or may not have tried, go to ipchicken.com and find your "true" ip, not the router assigned IP. Punch that into the smart port forwarding and give it a go.

It didn't work :( , at this point I am sure that its the router but how unlucky can a human be so that 2 routers in a row suck at port forwarding...... Oh well, ty for your reply!

Do you have the upnp enabled or disabled? Sometimes UPnP creates more issues than it helps when you're manually opening ports. Does your router have a "gaming" mode? A lot of newer routers will have gaming modes or premade settings that open ports for various programs or games. More often than not you'll have to setup custom rules but sometimes you can get lucky. Does your router have some sort of QoS Service? Sometimes there's little settings in here that you can enable or disable that might allow for lessened security.
