I have been having quite a few issues with my computer. A primary issue is that my rig just hasn't been starting. When i start it, at first it does the "OK! Beep" and then a beep code(Long-Short-Short-Short) I looked it up and i believe it might be an issue with the video memory. And after enough restarts it actually manages to start. It seems to work just fine but there is "stuttering" not in any specific pattern, just randomly. When i move my mouse around, click on things or listen/watch something. The audio and mouse freeze for a second or so and then it catches up, repeating until it eventually crashes or becomes so unbearable that i am forced to restart. At first i thought it was the RAM. I did the usual tests on it and i thought i found a bad stick. The problem went away for a few days but then came back. Yesterday the whole computer just refused to start. I removed the graphics card and cleaned it. Still nothing. I took an older GPU and put it in. Now it started. But the stuttering is still there but different. The screen goes black and when it recovers, this message comes up: Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 347.25 stopped responding and has now fully recovered. So what i need to know is: Is my GPU memory broken? Or is something wrong with my motherboard? Or something on the hard drive(The HDD light stays on almost constantly)

PC specs:
Make: Self-Made.
EVGA GTX670(Previous one)Nvidia GTX 550TI(Current one)
Barracuda 2000gb Hard Drive.
Intel Core i5-3550 at 3.30GHZ
LG CD-ROM drive.
ASUS Motherboard(Sorry i don't know wich one but it is blue and didn't cost too much)
Corsair CX-430 power supply(Yes it is adequate for the system)
ASUS Xonar DG.
Windows 8 x64.

Any help is greatly appriciated. Anyone who replies gets 100000 internet points!

Solution
Lots of possibles, check for latest BIOS, mobo drivers, GPU drivers. I'd try and borrow a good PSU and see what happens, with a 670 I always looked for a good 500 watt, and the CX is an entry level that only carries about 380 on the 12 volt rail. Even with the 550TI I would consider the CX as marginal. DRAM not listed and may not be set optimally, knowing the mobo model might help
