Hi as Wod came out i noticed i had to lower my graphics setting but recently I have noticed that my fps just shoots up and down it doesn't whether its on low or good the fps never comes to a stable it will go from 20 and under up to about 40 and sometimes even upwards this makes the game not totally unplayable but just choppy and unsmooth and just not fun to play to be totally honest.

Blizzard have tried to help and the last thing they told me is to try to download some older drivers for my graphics card I am unsure how to do this and before I go into unknown territory i was wondering if anyone in the forums maybe experienced the same problem or had some advice i am not amazingly computer savy but will put down what i know about my specs.

Specs:

OS: windows 8.1
Processor: AMD FX-6300 six core processor
16gb ram
Graphics card: amd radeon r7 250

If theres anything else you would need please tell me thanks for your time hope somebody can help me.

i have now been told to reinstall windows but to back up my drivers this is another thing i am unsure on how to do.

there is your problem the resolution is too high for that card and windowed mode makes things worse
if your gonna upgrade get a gtx960 or 970

resolution takes alot of gpu power too you know

well looks like your only solution is to buy a new gpu or play at 1280x720 at low settings

Hi Zuld,

If you are just playing WoW then I wouldn't buy a 970 as it would be overkill.

A more budget friendly upgrade would be a GTX 750 Ti ($100 as opposed to $350).

It does't require any extra power and would give you a nice boost in WoW and enable you to play at high settings at your proper resolution. The GTX 970 would be more for maxing out 1080/1440p resolutions.

You only need to buy the GPU. Make sure you uninstall your current GPU drivers before you swap them over:
