Is lenovo y70 touch with 512gb ssd and 4gb gtx 860m 4gb vram 16gb gddr5 ran i7-4710hq enough for streaming at 60fps 1080 on twitch at 110-150fps? Thanks

Solution

Just like he said. It takes a LOT of bandwidth to run 60fps 1080P to the internet. Basically you need the same bandwidth to stream a 2k or 24fps 4k movie to stream 60fps 1080P.
of cause it depends on your Ethernet speed and games you wanna stream at that 60 fps 1080p.not sure about your last sentence 110-150 fps

I'm pretty sure he means this:

Twitch TV: 60fps

Local gameplay: 110fps (though why that number when that monitors refresh rate is only 60hz?)

hz or refresh rate is how many times per second your monitor can display a new frame (refresh).

60hz means it can deliver up to 60 frames per second to the display. This means that any frame rate that's high like 70, 90, 100fps etc is going to be wasted. This is why there is a technology called V-Sync that will lock your GPU to only render at 60fps or lower so you don't get tearing at higher frame rates.

Tearing is when the GPU is displaying more frames to the monitor than the monitor can handle, so your game will look choppy. V-Sync get's rid of this problem, however when your frame rate is below 60fps you might notice lag. This is why G-Sync and Freesync are now entering the market.

So basically, you don't need to get 110fps in league of legends because your monitor is only 60hz. If you had a 120 or 144hz monitor then you could take advantage of 110fps.

I hope this helps. :)

i disagree if you use V SYNCHRONIZATION you push your GPU work harder and stating that no advantage getting more fps in game in opinion its wrong i use 60Ghz monitor and stream games my cs:go have 250 fps and bf4 110 fps.

Why push your GPU harder when you don't need to? And how is 250fps better when your monitor is only pushing 60fps?

I got a question as well. Im trying to stream on OBS on the Lenovo Y70 and the only Mic it allows me to use is the regular built in one. I dont want to use it and i bought a Logitech G230 and i want to use that, how do i get the system to recognize i got a new mic in? or do i need to buy a splitter for it to recognize it?
