After changing the paging file in Virtual memory, my logoff takes up to 2 minutes. The computer seems to be deleting the paging file on logoff.! How can I stop this? I set my min. and max. pagefile size to 8911. Better performance, but long logoff!

A few things here to note. If you've come from the Windows XP era, you will have learned information that does not apply to windows 7. For instance, there's really no point in 'tweaking' a pagefile, it will not help performance unfortunately.

A couple of thoughts..Did you put the new pagefile on a different hard drive, if so that drive may be slower than your C: drive, which might slow you down some.

Also Windows won't delete a pagefile on shutdown, unless you tweak it to do so. Here's a good site that tells you how to turn that function on/off:

Also if you put your pagefile back to previous settings, does the 'long log off' still happen?
