I have Windows 8.1 and after this month's Micorsoft updates my Explorer does not startup when I turn on my computer. I have to run task manager and run Explorer.exe as administrater after each reboot.

Is there a fix yet for this yet, or is Microsoft working on a hotfix? Does anyone know which update causes this issue so I can uninstall it?

Solution
Since Task Manager can be used to start Explorer.exe manually, it is most likely that the registry key that points to starting explorer.exe on each boot is corrupted. Try running these tools:

-Start up repair (WIN + Q, Advanced Options)
-sfc /scannow (in an Administrator CMD window)
-Registry clean-up in CCleaner (by Piriform, free download)
-Adding a shortcut to Explorer.exe in this folder: (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp [it is a hidden folder, but no need to unhide it]

If not, run system restore, and see if that fixes it. As for what update, I am not sure as I do not experience this problem with Windows 8.1 Core 64 Bit. Best of luck,
