in general they were about equal but the only advantage of 750 is it does not need 6 pin from power supply like 260X.

265 will be faster no doubt. in fact it is faster than 750Ti which is faster than 750. but 265 use more power than 750Ti. for any cards that require external power directly from power supply it is recommended to use good quality power supply. other than that your spec are fine. that i5 even able to support faster card like my 660SLI just fine

Go for 750.
Tho I am not sure why you wouldn't go for 750 TI, it's well worth paying extra few bucks for ti. Especially for 750 version.
The market and the consumers are more likely tend to lean on the Nvidia over Radeon, and of course, the results and reviews build those reputations for a reason.
Just go for 750 ti, and if you can maybe wait bit more to save extra dollars and buy gtx 960 for way better perfomance than 750 and still getting budget high end gaming gpu.
