I bought a GT 610 (2GB model) a week ago on the same day I bought my barebones machine. I have had repeated BSODs, HT flood sync errors and game crashes since i bought it, mostly during gaming. At first, I was unaware of the GPU temps getting so high. The nvlddmkm errors in the even viewer pointed me to the GPU as the problem. GPU-Z is consistently showing an idle temp of about 70 - 80c. After about 30 minutes of Minecraft I will notice the stuttering in the game. This is the sign that the GPU is hot. Pretty much all I can do is tab out every 15 minutes or so to see where it's at. Furmark ran for about 15 seconds before hitting 100c.

The first thing I did was to roll back the driver from 347.52 to 314.22 which, as I understand, was the last widely tested stable driver. This did help to a point. The card has been removed and reseated. Blew out the PCI slot with compressed air. The side panel of the case is kept off, so it's not like heat is building up at all. The best thing I can do is open a window and let the cool March air blow through the room. This is not good.

At this point, I'm willing to try playing with the clock speed and BIOS settings because its seems to be all I can do before just returning the card, though, I'm not sure where to begin with that. Any ideas?
