TYpe: DDR2
SIZE: 1024 mb
Channels: single

DRAM Frequency 333.3 MHZ

Graphic card: Nvidia GeForce 610 2 GB

When I insert a 1 GB ram (667GHz simmtronics) along with 2 x 1 GB, system doesn't start. I also tried 4 x 1 GB ram, but same thing :( (doesn't start). I am still running my pc on 2gb ram. Bcz of this issue :(

So please help.

Solution
With double "architecture" you need to run ram sticks in pairs. With double "sided" ram it merely means that there are chips on both sides of the stick. With your ram, the chips are only on one side of the stick.

I can't tell for sure which ones are bank one as I still can't d/l the manual for your board. Try two sticks in the black slots first and then the yellow ones if it fails to work. On my ASUS board the black slots are labeled as A1 and B1 while the yellow are A2 and B2. I am assuming the same is true for your board but only by trying it will you know for sure without seeing your manual.

Check the ASUS website for compatible ram as their boards can be quite finicky. That board will only work with DDR2 667 ram as you noted but are you sure that the other stick isn't DDR3 instead of DDR2? Try the new stick(s) by itself and see which will or will not work. Make sure that the ram slots are clean by blowing compressed air in them and clean the gold contacts on the ram with a q-tip and a little alcohol. Wipe with a lint free rag and let dry before trying them again.

Do you have the latest BIOS installed for that board?

Thanks for suggestion.

I tried each ram individually on each slot, all slots are working and ram too. but when i put all 4x1gb ram together, system don't start.

Check your board for any signs of bad caps or possible damaged traces. Unplug the board from the PSU and then plug it back in to check for a loose or dirty socket/connection to your board. Do you have a case speaker where you can hear any beeps? Are you installing each stick securely in the same colored slots? If you are able to boot with one stick but not two then it still looks like you may have a bad stick that needs to be tested to verify.
Try running memtest overnight on each stick and see if it throws any errors. A quick scan may miss errors caused by heat so an extended test is the best.

Did you ever check for a BIOS update? Remove your CMOS battery, reset the BIOS, and then install any BIOS update. Did you find any update for your chipset drivers?

THanks for your valuable Suggestion,

Ok, I checked that one ram is defected.. And when i put 2x1gb rams a beep sound comes to motherboard and it starts, but when i put other three ram, why are not they working ? do i need to fill respective slots (2x1gb in black slots and 2x1gb in yellow slots) . Means, i can't leave a blank slot if its respective slot is filled with a ram ?

Your board needs to use the same color slots if you are running 2 sticks. I wasn't able to d/l your manual for some reason so all I could find about your boards memory is below. Did you mark the stick that gave you errors so that you can try booting with just the other 3 sticks? Install the good sticks to see if you can boot without the stick that showed errors. The third stick you may have to try in both slots because I can't tell which is slot 1, 2, 3, or 4. Try both yellow and one black and if it doesn't work properly or show all the ram then try the black ones with one yellow.

4 x DIMM, max. 4GB, DDR2 667/533 MHz, non-ECC, un-buffered memory
Dual channel memory architecture
* Refer to www.asus.com or user manual for Memory QVL (Qualify Vendor List)
*When installing two DDR2 DIMM modules for single channel configuration, install only single-sided memory modules.
**When installing four DDR2 DIMM modules, install only single-sided memory modules.

****Edit. Even though I looked at it when I copied it, it didn't sink in that you have dual channel architecture. That requires two sticks in the bank or it won't work. You may only be able to run with two sticks and will need to replace the bad stick before you can use the other ram bank.

Okkkkk. I notice that you have mentioned one side/dobule side... & Now i see that I have one sided 1gb ram in black slot and another two sided 1gb ram in yellow slot... so should i use 2x1gb single sided in black slot and 2x1gb double sided in yellow slot ?
