The gigabyte 78lmt from your first post supports that ram fine mate.
It will default to 1333mhz but will work fine.
The board supports ram upto 1866mhz - your ram will run at 1600mhz but will need setting up manually in bios which I can help you with.

Go ahead & buy it - its the best budget matx board there is by miles.

^ 970 boards have no onboard video - you will need a GPU with either if those.

The 78lmt does have onboard video - its not up to much - fine for general use / video playback but you would not be gaming with it.

Darkbreeze - that little gigabyte will actually handle an 8 core OK - not with any knid of over clocks but at stock speeds its fine.
Its a fairly capable little board - you can overclock a 4300/6300 on it to your hearts content.I've had a 6300 at 4.4ghz ,mdocod I believe managed a stable 4.8ghz with it in the past.

I guess it might depend on the revision. The older revisions, and really, to my knowledge, even the newer revisions, aren't recommended for FX8 by most reviews and our own tier list. I've had to replace two boards that I used an FX 8 core on previously that had burned out, the VRM's I'm assuming.

Considering the OP's region, I would suspect it to be an older revision that has weaker component quality and probably doesn't even have SATAIII support for storage drives.

Chirag, do you have a link to the model you're looking at?

^ it will honestly do the job with a 4300/6300 absolutely fine mate.
I wouldn't recommend it for an 8 core as darkbreeze says.

It will also run 1600mhz ram - as I said before it defaults to 1333mhz speeds but can be set in bios to 1600 manually.
I've run gskill ripjaw red, corsair vengeance ,corsair xms3 & Kingston hyper x blue 1600 on that board with no problems at all.

Have you ever tried to run any amd am3+ socket 8 core processor ... and how can u say madmatt ... he is motherboard master ... and he would have even tried .... + also i agree with darkbreeze that it can even OC amd 8 core processor even fx 8350 ... thats all ... i am agree with darkbreeze ... g\

^ you have lost me mate - it may have come out worded wrong.
Darkbreeze has suggested it isn't a good board for an 8 core & what I meant above is that I agree with him.

I've done 30 or so amd build in the last 2 years & I've used the board half a dozen times personally with fx6300's so I know exactly how good it is & pretty much every aspect of it.
Its decent ,cheap & will do the job for you absolutely fine.
It will even run an 8 core pretty well but it pays to spnd a few more $ on a better board in that case.

So, the 78lmt WILL run FX 4 and 6 core no problem, we agree on that, no issues there, and you CAN overclock FX 4 and maybe FX 6 if you keep the OC to realistic levels. I wouldn't overclock or even use an FX 8 core chip on that board though, regardless of which revision it is. Just as a matter of common sense, especially since there are other boards at or near it's price that you CAN safely overclock FX 8 core on.

The main reason I don't recommend using a board that doesn't support FX 8 core chips for folks who live in places like India, where hardware availability is dubious, is that they generally squeeze every last ounce of possible functionality out of their hardware, basically driving it like they stole it and running it until the wheels fall off. Since they typically do this, they like to be able to have some kind of upgrade path when choosing hardware, which in this case would basically ONLY include moving up to FX8 at some point down the road, which isn't advisable with that board.

All that being said, the board is perfectly fine as a budget, entry level choice for a system that you know won't ever require moving up to an 8 core.

And I'm a master, so I know! (Smile) JK Matt.

^ ;)
I never take anything personally on the forums mate - I'm a chilled out kind o guy.

Yes I understand ,the Indian component market is incredibly poor for the buyer.
The gb 78lmt is the only matx board I would ever recommend & only if matx is an absolute necessity.
The ud3p would always be my 1st choice for any fx CPU personally but it has never made it across the shores to the Indian market for some unknown reason!
Its literally £12 more than that matx board in the UK & is a no-brainer for an amd budget build for that reason.

You can see in my SIG though that a stable overclock is quite possible on a board even worse than the little GB albeit with added vrm cooling - the 78lmt will pretty much pull that same result as it stands straight out of the box.
