I recently purchased a new Dell USB keyboard, and it's great; I love it.

While the computer is on, I can plug it in and it works fantastic. If I turn off the computer or restart, the computer won't turn back on again. I have to unplug the keyboard, and restart all over again in order for it to boot up properly, then I can go ahead and plug in the keyboard after the computer has started up already.

It freezes up on the windows 8 logo screen if that's any help.

That's the keyboard I bought on eBay.

if it the only usb device plugged in contact the seller for a refund. if you have a lot of usb devices plugged in at boot you may be pulling more power the the usb ports on the pc can output. you may need a usb powered hub. before you contact the seller check to see if your mb has all of the bios updates to rule out a bios bug.

Well, I mean it works, it's not that the device isn't working... hell, I'm using it right now! It's just that when I turn off the computer, it will freeze up if I don't first disconnect it. I have like 4 usb devices connected. mouse, keyboard, bluetooth dongle, and ps3 controller usb charger, anyway thanks a lot for replying!

OK, well I figured it out... had to be some fucking bs like always; turns out I just had to try different USB ports on my PC (it has like 10 usb ports). So, for some stupid reason unbeknownst to me, that mother ducking USB port was off the fritz and it wasn't working. I connected the keyboard to the usb port all the way at the bottom, and it works now when i start up my computer.

What do you know, huh? technology motha...
