The burnt electronic smell is a very distinct one, and I think it came from your PSU fan motor (from getting stuck), as you have mentioned here. If you can peek inside the PSU (you might void warranty from sticker breaking, etc) and find out how the fan itself was connected for power(might be soldered down to a PCB, might be something like cpu fans that have this plugs, etc.) you might be able to replace just the fan with something of similar specs/performance from online retailers that specialize in electronics/computers.

A quick visit to a local computer repair shop might just be the thing actually (bring the PSU), they might have a replacement fan in stock for cheap.

thank you for the quick replies, (i7Baby) what would be the pin connects? ppl say their diff im not even sure what a pin is im guessing plug (sry for my ignorance) but im no genius when it comes to computers i know alittle to get me by but not alot is there a link you can give me to say amazon/ebay/comp site that has one that WILL fit my system would hate to order one to have to send it back cause its not the right plugins the one i have in it is a 480w.

(pecul1ar) the burnt smell kinda smelt like somethin getin hot i put my hand on the psu an man it has some heat coming out of it so i shut it all down fast an then thats when i ran into the fan blade being broke an lodged in there sucks but i cant complain ive had this computer since 2011 an its been a good one ive read up on taking these psu's apart an ppl go against doin it due to shock but warrenty is no issue i have none with this comp so thats why i came here lookin for advice on psu's also our computer shops around here we only have 2 an their really just out for the money there was a good place in town but i have no clue where they moved to now it was years ago with that one, an it sucks i dont have no old towers siting anywhere >< does it have to be the same fan or draw the same power or do them all draw 7w?

If no computer shops nearby, an electronics repair shop will do. This is just a small electronic fan we're talking about so all you need is a fan that will fit into the PSU. About the electronic discharge, just let some hours pass by. The pin connector will be from PSU > motherboard. Something like this:
http://www.pcityourself.com/images/content/building/PSU_connectors.jpg
https://www.google.com/search?q=psu+to+motherboard+connector&biw=1680&bih=899&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ei=Zk8BVdniJMzf8AWqn4KgBA&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ

Removing the PSU to motherboard, PSU to dvd/hd will and the mounting screws on the PSU to the casing will remove the PSU off the computer.

edit: here are some youtube vids for reference

edit edit: if you're fine with the small fan pointed at the opening of your psu, and its strong enough to cool it, you can use it until a cheap/easy solution is available.
