I will be getting an i5 and a gtx 980

Any i have this stupid motherboard gigabyte ga h61m s2p

No. Different socket type.

It will work as long as the Socket on the CPU and the Socket on the Mobo match. The Mobo is 1155 so the CPU needs to be too.

edit: Didn't see the 4670k. No it will not work.

h61 motherboards are lga1155

the sockets are slightly different
