I have a few Western Digital 2TB External Drives for back up. I've had them for a year or 2. They've always worked fine. I have them plugged into a separate power strip, and when I need them I flip the switch, and they are always plugged into USB3. The other day I flipped the switch, and got the BSOD! I plugged them into my laptop and they run fine, ran a optimize and test. When I plug them into my desktop machines 2.0 ports they run fine, but when I try the other 3.0 ports BSOD.

My guess is a driver issue? Maybe an incompatibility of some other drivers (I've noticed a couple other little oddities) How can I test to find out what's going on?

Windows 7 64 bit

Do you think the "Full Package" or just the "Controller Driver"

I finally had a chance to run the update today, and it worked! Thank you for taking the time to help me find the right driver!
