hi guys! new here and i need some help, i want to upgrade my GPU to a GTX 970,i could choose from The gigabyte or the Galax edition, i have the money but there is a little bit of a problem, i think i'm gonna bottleneck the card big time cuz i have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE. i'm thinking about this cuz i can actually get a decent 4th Gen i5 and Mobo + a GTX 960 if i Decide to upgrade my processor first, i also doubt that the 960 will not hold to the newer games that will come out as it only has 2 GBs of VRAM, and an AMD card is still not acceptable for me,what should i do guys? get the 970 or Upgrade my CPU first? thanks :)

Solution
Update your CPU first and do the combo that you mentioned in your original post. And the 960 will hold out with the mass majority of games as games that utilize VRAM more efficiently are few and far between at the moment. Update the platform, then update the GPU later.

Only buy a combo if you fully know what it getting. I bought a cpu/mobo years back and got the cpu I wanted but later realized the mobo was cheap and missing many features... if I'd bought mobo seperately, I would have done better research.
