I really need help because my cpu's temperatures are way too high! It's reaching 100 degrees under load using Prime95. At the moment I am using a stock cooler as I don't have the money yet to get a better CPU cooler however even so these temperatures shouldn't be that high. I've provided an image with all the temperatures, I'm worried these are way too high and need advice.

Thank you.

That's because you're still overclocked.

Go into bios and disable overclock now!

You can't be overclocking like that with a stock cooler. You need to purchase an after market air cooler. Until you do you will continue to see temps like that.

You need to turn off your computer immediately.

Step 1. Reapply thermal paste and make sure it is spread evenly. (make sure it's on all areas of the cpu)

Step 2. Make sure your fan is mounted correctly. It sounds like it's uneven right now.

Step 3. Never. EVER. continue to run your cpu under load reaching those temps.

Hi thank all you guys for your help. I reapplied it as instructed however I am still getting the exact same temperatures. I feel like it may have to do with the CPU boost or a feature on the Asus Maximus VII Hero board which ramps it up because I ran the cpu-z and noticed that my processor is at 4.2 at idle and not 3.5.

Hi yeah I actually did it as you wrote that lol. I didn't overlock it myself my motherboard must have done it by itself cause I didn't touch anything. I found that my power options were set to performance instead of balanced which affected it. Also as you said my motherboard synced all the cores to 4.2. Thanks for the help guys!
