sprint iphone 5 how to unlock to metro pcs

Buying a sprint Iphone 5 from a girl to have switched to metro pcs. She payed early termination fees and she doesn't know if its unlocked. How do I go about doing so.

It won't be unlocked if she bought it through her network provider.

Find an independent cellphone accessories shop. Many of them have cellphone unlocking equipment, they'll usually do it for around £10 here in the UK, no questions asked. I got an iPhone unlocked last year in one of those shops.

From what I understand, SPRINT iPhones in the U.S.A may not actualy work with METROPCS due to differences in frequency

(metroPCS shifted to GSM, while Sprint remains on CDMA technology)

Even if you got it unlocked you would have to check with METROPCS. Normally Sprint iPhones are meant to be used outside of the U.S.A or with sprint themselves if you are planning to unlock it,.
