Hi guys I'm not going to lie to you I am a bit of a noob when it comes to overclocking GPU's (not a noob with knowledge but suck at OCing). I have EVGA precisionX but i just don't want my card to blow up or be damaged;) So can anyone point me in the right direction on how much to OC?
Specs:
CPU: INTEL(R) Core™ i7-4790K Quad Core 4.00 GHz 8MB Cache LGA1150 Overclockable
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-K INTEL Z97 Chipset, ATX Mainboard w/ 4 RAM slots, HD Audio, HDMI, GbLAN, USB 3.0, SATA-III, 1x Gen3 PCIe x16, 1x Gen2 PCIe x16, 2x PCIe x 1 & 2x PCI
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3/1866mhz Dual Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX Fury Blue w/Heat Spreader)
Psu: Cooler Master 850v 80+ Gold _I know its overkill but i dont want to change it again!)
And obviously the GPU stated above

Thanks in advance for any help!

first of all what revision do u have? if u have the new one with the 133% power limit if u get a nice chip u should achieve 1500mhz

JUST slide the power limit to 133% max if u can and increase the clock speed by 20 than 15mhz until the card becomes unstable than reduce it a bit until it is stable

memory OC is the same do that until u see artifacts/crashing

touching the voltage is up to you i used MSI afterburner and just stayed below the max safe voltage by .05V

my OC ended up with 1300MHZ core/1900 memory with 1.23V on my 7950 which is a different crad with different voltages

raise the clock speed by 10 or 5 increments and stress test it each time till you get artifacts or it causes the graphics drivers to crash and when you get artifacts raise the voltage a bit and stress test it each time until you dont get anymore artifacts
