What happens when you buy a Ubisoft game through Steam?

Hi,
I'm looking at buying Assassin's Creed Revelations through Steam, and I was wondering how the game downloads once its purchased. Does it download through the Steam client, and then you enter the CD Key into Uplay for the game to register there? Thanks a bunch for any help, as I've had problems before with downloading titles bought directly through the Uplay store.

The one UbiSoft game that I have just worked. The Steam installer did everything. Unfortunately, it still needs to use Uplay with all the problems that entails.

Oh for the days when you just bought a game, installed it, and played it.

How does the game download?

So the game downloads and installs through the Steam Client, and then when you launch the game, Uplay launches too. Is this right?

Yes, that's what happened for me with "The Settlers". I can't remember the exact sequence of events, but Steam installed the game and the UPlay client. I can't vouch for the fact that all UBISoft games work that way.
