First of all, I know there are some threads about this, but I honestly just dont understand it that well.
Im building a PC with the MSI z97 gaming 5 motherboard. And I am wanting to use an Astro a40 2013 edition w/ the mixamp.
First, it doesnt have an optical out, so what do I need to buy in order to get one.
Second, I keep seeing that the headset wont work correctly because the PC doesnt have Dolby Digital Live, so the surround sound wont work correctly. How would I fix this issue?
I also want the mic to work. I dont want to have to sell my a40, because I just got them recently and I also use them for console gaming.
I dont know anything about sound cards but that seems to be where the solution is, so any advice or input would be great to help me understand.
