how to convert usb printing support to lpt port

i have a hardware dongle for a printer port to run a particular software. unfortunately the system was crashed. I have taken a new computer and installed the software. Unfortunately the system is not having the parallel port. so i have taken a usb to parrallel port converter to insert the dongle. But still the software could not read the dongle. I think software is checking the lpt port for dongle. How to convert USB printing support to lpt port??

Most (all?) usb to parallel convertors work only with printers, not with anything else that uses the parallel port. In particular, dongles hardly ever work with these convertors. You should contact the software supplier to see what alternatives are possible; they may be able to supply a USB dongle.
