Hey everyone thanks for stopping by:

So this issue has gotten worse recently. The issue is this: I get random internet disconnects to all windows programs. In my Chrome browser though, I can still access certain websites (ones that I've tried and work are google, yahoo, youtube (I can load videos), hotmail and facebook), but other websites like reddit, trulia, wimp and probably many others do not browse to.

If I cannot get internet access to ANYWHERE, I can use Windows Diagnose to fix the issue prompting me with this issue "Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration". If I'm experiencing the issue stated above (no program internet access and limited website access) I have to disabled and then enable my network adapter...

Strange huh? I have internet access, but I don't at the same time??

So I've done some troubleshooting on my router and modem. No other devices/pc's are having this issue on the network. My PC is wired (but the problem persists even with wireless). I have updated the LAN drivers for my motherboard (PC Specs at bottom). This issue has gotten worse within the past week (used to be once or twice a night, now it's 5-6 times a night). If I try to run a speed test at speedtest.net, my internet crashes and I have to disable/enable my network adapter.

I want to say the issue is with my NIC card coming from the other devices in my home working fine and the router is only a few months old.

PC SPECS:
M/B: ASUS Z87-PRO (Rv 1.02)
NIC: Integrated Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I217-V
CPU: i7-4770k
RAM: GSKILL 16GB
GPU: EVGA GTX 780 Hydro Copper Dual Classified
HD's both SD and HDD
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Connection = Wired

Router: Linksys WRT1900AC
Modem: Motorola Surfboard eXtreme SB6141
ISP: Time Warner Cable

Wasn't sure if this was a virus or spyware issue, so I installed the two software below and scanned. Didn't turn up anything terrible:

AVG AntiVirus (no web protection, just virus scanning)
SpyBot 2: Search & Destroy

That's all the info I have. I'm baffled by this crazy issue and don't know what else to troubleshoot! I've called ASUS and their "tech support" simply told me to RMA the M/B, but I would rather not rip out all of my components + water cooling so quickly without getting as much help as possible first...If I have to I will just buy a new M/B and replace, but hopefully it won't come to that!

Thank you users of TomsHardware! My name is Tom too, so I'm hoping it will be a good luck charm :p

Go to your device manager and uninstall your network card (do not remove the drivers). Then scan for hardware changes. See what happens.

Sorry I haven't responded in a while (work 2nd shift + OT). I have done as you asked and I will update this or reply to you again if I get another disconnect. From 5 initial speedtests though things are looking promising...Usually if I try to speedtest one or two times the internet on my PC crashes, so being able to perform 5 tests in a row is a good thing.

I will update if things change. Thanks!
