GPU overclock losing stability over time

Hello everyone,
About a year and a half ago I bought an MSI GTX 760 GAMING gpu.
after about two months I overclocked it (core to 1280Mhz from 1150Mhz and memory to 6754Mhz from 6004Mhz), and while it's a rather high overclock I tested it and it worked just fine.

About six months ago it suddenly became unstable. I tried reverting to an older driver and preforming a clean reinstall with the new driver, with no luck on either. Eventually I slightly lowered the clocks.
Recently, I had to do the same again twice - the GPU simply isn't stable anymore.
I really don't know why this is happening, since I didn't make any change (beside drivers) during this period, and the rest of my system is rock stable (tested).

Can anyone explain this?
Thank you in advance.

My specs:
CPU: Core i5 4670K @ 4.3Ghz
GPU: MSI GTX 760 Gaming
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Gene
RAM: 2x4 Corsair XMS3 @ 1600Mhz
PSU: 550w Seasonic ECO PSU

The only thing that might be the issue is the power supply. I can't seem to find any info on this psu. While Seasonic makes excellent psu's , I can't find any info on the Eco series.

Best thing I can tell you at the moment is that it's a Bronze rated PSU.
Unfortunatley I'm not at home, I'll look up more about it when I come back.

EDIT: I haven't found the PSU model, but I can see the sticker with it's specifications. It is indeed a 550w Bronze rated PSU, and I can give you the power on each rail if needed

I looked at Nvidia's website and they recommended a minimum of 500-watts for the 760. If you oc'ed it, that could be the reason (even though it's a 550) that it's losing stability. Get a quality 600w or 650w psu instead.

I can see why that seems to be the reason, however I'm pretty sure I can rule out the PSU.
First of all, previous overclocks have held up about a year without an issue, so I can't see why my current, much more modest overclock will push the PSU.

Also, after the first time I lowered the overclock, I wanted to rule out the PSU as a source of instability. To do so I ran a stress test to both the GPU and the CPU simultaneously. It showed no issues whatsoever.
It's a capable PSU and it showed no signs of error since I bought it, so I really don't think that's it.

Do you have any idea about what else can be causing it?

Hmmmmm. Well the only thing it could be other than the psu is the graphics card itself. Anyway to get your hands on another 760 to test it? I would strongly however purchase another psu for testing purposes, then return it after you get your results. The only way to figure out the exact issue is to remove / add components one at a time and run through whatever gamut of tests you had been doing before.
