Proxy Server Config.

Computer Keeps reverting to "Proxy Server" Configuration. I use Norton System Suite to fix the problem. It fixes the problem but every time the system restarts, it reverts back to the Proxy Server Configuration. Whatever Norton does to fix the problem only works until the system is restarted, I have gone into the "Settings" and try to save it not to use a Proxy Server, but it won't let me use save the option. The "save button" is grayed out. I have checked the login history and there are no other administrators or users on my system.

Open Internet Explorer and then click Tools > Internet Options. In the Internet Options window, on the Connections tab, click LAN Settings. In the LAN Settings window, can you make sure that everything under Proxy server is unchecked. Also, check Automatically Detect settings. Click Apply and OK.

Hi,

Thanks for your solution, but is still not a permanent fix. I went to settings, Network, I unchecked Proxy Server, but when I hit the "Save" button, the "save" button is greyed out, so I can't save the changes there. Internet is still working on all 3 browsers for now, but sometimes after a restart, the proxy will block the internet on all 3 browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox).

Please Advise - thank you.

Do check your computer programs and uninstall some unwanted programs that can hijack your proxy server. I think you can post the screen shot of your "programs and features" and let us check it for you:)

Yes, I did this update. Like all the other suggestions, it only provides only a temporary fix. Once the computer restarts, it goes back to the Proxy Server configuration. There are no other administrators or users on this computer.
