Hello everyone,

I am considering to buy a gtx 970. Initially, i wanted to get a asus gtx 970 strix but when i came across zotac amp! extreme core edition i got a little bit confused. In India asus strx gtx 970 costs 27500 and zotac amp! extreme core edition costs 32000. The zotac has 1228mhz clock and boost clock of 1380mhz.
1) Is it worth the cost?
2) Would asus verion perform similar to zotac when overclocked?
3) What is the maximum overclock of both the gpu?

Please answer all my questions.
Thanks in advance.

Solution
1) Not really since the difference won't be much and you may be able to achieve that clock speed with the ASUS.

2) They are the same GPU, so if the Asus was overclocked to match the Zotac, yes they would preform the same.

3) There is no maximum overclock, that will be the answer given to you by anyone you ask. Overclocking is different with every piece of hardware. You could buy 2 of the Asus cards and they would not max out at the same clock speed. Many people describe the overclocking limit as "luck of the draw"

So in my opinion you should save a few bucks and buy the Asus because they are great cards, it's already factory overclocked, and you may be able to push it's clock higher.
