Can't get the 24 pin computer cable in for the life of me.

I have been trying for a full thirty minutes. I am trying to push it in, and I just can't. When I am gettng somewhere the motherboard starts to bend and I am afraid it will break. I tried putting my finger nail on the bottom of it so I can do it without it bending but I completely snapped my thumb nail in half trying to put it in! Is there something I am doing wrong?

No, it is in the right way. The clamp just won't snap on!
I am using a corsair cx600

There is no way I am taking the motherboard out.... I have everything hooked in. :/
Oh well.

Why is this an issue.. You would think this would be fixed by now... I have to pull 4 hours worth of parts out now, because the clamp won't go in. I can't build this pc. Every single thing I have done that was so easy in the youtube videos is so complicated.
Can anyone recomend a good power supply?
