My PC won't turn on after installing a graphics card

I tried installing an ASUS 1gb GT 730 into my computer and the first time I did it turned on for a few seconds then turned off. After that it never turned on again. I have a feeling it has something to do with my psu, but I've decided to check here first.

Specs:
Core 2 Duo E8400
Intel Chipset Q43/Q45
4 gig RAM
280w PSU

Your psu doesnt even meet the minimum power requirement of gt 730 which is 300w

Get ATLEAST 350w psu. Connect and done. But if its from hp dell etc. It might have modified connectors like i have. Then youre screwed. But if not, just get a trusted brand psu like corsair, evga, seasonic, etc.
