Should I get a R9 280x? Worried about power supply and CPU bottlenecking.

So I asked on Reddit if I should get a 960 for my new 1440p monitor (would be upgrading from a 460) and most people seemed to think I should get a 280x instead. I'm a little concerned about my power supply because the 280x requires a 750w power supply, and while my power supply is 750w it's older and it seems like I'd have to use a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter to use it.

Here's the 280x I'd probably buy: SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100363VX-3L Radeon R9 280X 3GB

Here's my power supply: Rosewill BRONZE series RBR750-M 750W

I'm also worried that my older Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield will bottleneck performance of my new card.

Do I have nothing to worry about, or am I gonna have problems? And is there a card that might better fit my needs?

Depends on you. The R9 290 typically give you 10 extra fps if the cpu is out of the factor.
The PSU you have will handle a R9 290.
If you will be upgrading the cpu and motherboard later on, you might as well get the R9 290. It should last at least 2 years.
