OK, sorry if this is the wrong subject to be posting in. But last night I ran into some complications with my PC after installing some Driver Update program that was being advertised by the AVG Antivirus I had installed. Now I'm afraid I will be paying for my ignorance.

I installed the software then it said I had 7 out of date drivers. I then purchased the program thinking it would be beneficial to me in the long run, went through the process and updated the drivers it told me to. After all that I went through a manual restart and that's where I run into my problem.

I cannot get passed the "Loading Windows" screen and when I have gone through the start up repair I get an error saying "startupRepairOffline". So I instead tried to go back to any of the multiple restore points I have, but none of them work and I get an error message that displays the following:

"There was an unexpected error: The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003) Please close System Restore and try again."

I'm aware of my mistake of downloading this program, I looked up reviews of it after all of this and there were several threads on various websites saying it is packed with malware. My overall question is what exactly I am going to need to fix my problem, or maybe even if there are any ways to resolve the issue that I have not tried yet.

Thank you for any help.
