My temps are way high when under 100% load from my cpu using Aida64. Now I tried Prime95 and my temps went to 100c under 100% load. I'm using the PH-TC12dx_BK heat-sink and I have reapplied the thermal paste twice and still get the insane high temps. I have 3 120mm fans pointing at the cpu and lots of space in my large case. Is it the heat-sink is garbage? It had amazing reviews on Amazon. Any one to speed all my 120mm fans up for more airflow?

I changed my core voltage to 1.170 from 1.200 and still get insanely high temps. In Aida64 I get 75c temps across all 4 cores. on intel burn test 90c. Prime95 100c temps!!!

Maybe try re applying thermal paste it sounds like either you put too much or too little the heat sink your using is a very good one so its either what the guy above me said or your thermal paste

If you are going to be overclocking with a third party heat sink I would probably take the time and money to just buy a nice water cooler so if you have a decent budget for what your trying to do with overclocking I would go with the corsair h100i or h105 which are both around 100$-120$ but if you don't have a big budget I would go with the corsair h80i which is both small and effective, with a heat sink trying to overclock at such high GHz and with those ridiculous temps I would go with a water cooler but like I said if you have the budget for example with my water cooler (the corsair h105) on the Intel core i5 4690k I got 4.80GHz with a really cool temp of 34 degrees Celsius so if I were you I would just go ahead and buy a water cooler on Amazon for a kinda high price it's definitely worth it.
