What happened?
Me and some friend were playing DayZ. I had 30-40 FPS, so naturally I wanted to change that. I went to video settings and put everything to low, as well as render resolution and interface resolution. I didn't like to have interface resolution at 800x600, so I changed it back (1920x1080). I changed the render resolution but I mispressed the right resolution, so I quickly pressed 1920x1080, then the middle screen went black (I have surround setup), I heard a quick sound loop and then my computer shut down with no blue screen or anything.

My specs are:
i5-4690k (cooled by H100i)
16gb HyperX Fury RAM (4x4)
ROG Maximus VII Formula
Seagate Barracuda
2x ROG Poseidon 780 (not water cooled)
Three BenQ G2420HD (Left and right is running on first GPU, middle monitor ran on second GPU)

What I know:
My middle monitor does not receive a signal
The 2nd GPU is not working (doesn't turn on on boot up)
The 2nd GPU isn't shown under video adapters in device manager
Nvidia control panel does not show the 2nd card (it doesn't really show anything other than stereoscopic 3D settings)
There is no lit up logo on my 2nd GPU
Pulling out the power cable and waiting one minute does not work
My computer updated after it crashed (not sure if relevant)

If you know what happened or if you've experienced it yourself please let me know. If there's any questions I will try to answer them the best I can.

Thank you
- Lars

I can't put all monitors in one GPU because i only have DVI cables and no splitter. Nvidia control panel doesn't show any settings other than stereoscopic 3D.

i have, but the problem is the GPU. it's not even acting like it's connected.

Which GPU? Try just one monitor and one card to verify that it doesn't work.

Leave it out if it doesn't work. Make sure the one that works is in the first pcie slot. Get the monitors running with that.

If the other one does work then after you have the first one working with the 3 monitors then plug in the second one and put on the SLI bridge and enable SLI in nVidia control panel.

The second gpu. I hooked up the middle monitor via dvi and hdmi, none of them worked. the working card is in the first pcie slot. the last step i can't do because nvidia control panel is still not showing any setting other than stereoscopic 3D.

i'm beginning to suspect that it is the motherboard that is the problem, because the ROG logo isn't lit up (meaning the GPU is not on) but the two green leds that light up when the power cables are plugged in works perfectly.

A picture of my second gpu: http://imgur.com/FkCNpvh as you can see, the logo isn't lit up, but the two green lights are, meaning its receiving power from the PSU.
