! Fried mobo!?

Last night my pc shut down . I turned it on again and i smelled something fried and i dont know that my motherboard or something else fried ... I took all my vents out of case and i turned it on without vents and i can still smell that fried something ... The pc shut dowm when i`ve been putting in the jack from my headsets... The pc starts and it shows the windows logo , even it starts the windows but i still can smell that smelly odor... my pc config is:
CPU: AMD ATHLON 64X2 4600+
MOBO: ASUS M2N SLI DELUXE
HDD : SAMSUNG HD322HJ 320GB
VIDEO CARD: PALIT nVIDIA GEFORCE GTS450 OC EDITION
PSU: SEGOTEP SL-500A

Hi

Running without a external graphics card using internal /integrated graphics chip
with hard drives disconnected from power will see if the problem is in these components. You have tested the PSU
If this does not show the location of the problem then you will have to dismantle the PC and seperate the GPU card, motherboard, PSU hard drives, dvd drives and case

move them apart and look for signs of burning, melted plastic, distorted capacitors and the smell.



It may even be Headphone socket & cable from front of the case to the motherboard since connecting headphones shuts system down

it might be the sund card? It`s very strange becouse when i started the pc 1 chase fan started running and it shuted down , it wont start again ... the fan is fine , i tryed it with my old pc and it`s running ... and when I start the pc , I can`t hear any sound from it... :( I`m very sad cuz i cant buy another pc ...

It`s the motherboard , now it doesn`t even starts , the psu is working on another pc , i have on the motherboard a little LED that it shows me that i have power on motherboard , it doesn`t starts....so thank u for all ur advices , i appreciate that ! Have a nice day ! :)
