FX-8350 good match up for GTX 970

Have a FX-6300 with a GTX 760. But I'm going to get the GTX 970 and my main question is would the FX-8350 be good for the 970. As in would I have any bottleneck issues with the 8350. And a side question does the 8350 need a good heatsink/ liquid cooler or can I use the one it provides? Thank you!

Overclock your fx 6300 and keep it with 970. There isnt really a difference between 6300 and 8350, both are quite weak in single-threaded app (most cpu heavy games).

I would advice you save up for something like H97+i5, that would be an real upgrade.

Would i need to buy a new Heat sink if i were going to over clock the 6300. If so what would you recommend? Coolmaster Hyper 212?

No, you'll be overclocking in bios. I would recommend you look up for some guides before you start.
