Sellotape instead of electrical tape?

Hello! I want to stick 2 cables. A black cable and a yellow cable, i want to connect a fan to an old USB cable. Its 8A, DC5V 1.7W. Is it OK? Thanks!

If you're going to do it, do it right. As above, solder and heatshrink.

Or are you looking for a way to let the magic smoke out?

You want to connect two cables using sellotape? I'd advise against it, solder them and use heat shrink instead. I don't know the power rating for whatever cables you wan't to connect to the usb.
