A little story. So I bought a WD Black edition HHD/SSD Dual Drive and it came with an Acronis True Edition software that was made for the hard drive. After having problems with cloning it I decided to clean install.
I made a recovery USB and everything. Then when I switched out the hard drives and tried to install Windows 8 but the product key that came embedded in my BIOS didn't work. I used RVEverything to find the product key but it didn't work. So I installed Windows 8 using the general product key thinking that I could put in my BIOS product key later to activate it.
Well, it didn't work. My old HHD still has my old information on as well as the Windows 8.1 on it. I found out that my Windows 8.1 key works for one OS at a time. How can I fix this? I don't mind losing my data at all.
My computer is a Lenovo Y50-70.
