I have realised that my ram is not running at the desired frequency. It Is CorsaIf Vengeance 1600. I have four of them, which add up to 16Gb. My motherboard is a Sabertooth Z77 and only supports dual channel. As such, each of the four DIMMs is running at 667mhz. However, my ram is set to 1600mhz in the Uefi. I Set the ram to XMP, however that did not feel x it. THe ram is still Technically running at 1333 speeds. How can I set it to operate at 800mhz in Dual channel?

Solution
The memory tab is correct you are at 1600, the SPD tab displays the default boot data rate of 1333, it also shows the other presets as well as the XMP profile - basically it simply shows the stored info in the SPD of the DRAM - not what you are running at. Same with 3DMark, my main 3 rigs run 2800, 2666 and 2400, yet all show 1333 on 3DMark

The memory tab for CPUz does say 800mhz.

However, the SPD lists 667mhz.

More so, 3Dmark also lists 667mhz across all DIMMs: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3970080

Here's a screenshot of the memory tab: http://i.imgur.com/xTMweVx.jpg

Interesting...XMP mode seems to prevent the CPU from boosting past 3.7ghz.

Why is this? The Ram is running at 1600mhz natively anyway, so XMP is not needed, but I find it odd that it effected boost clocks?? Something to do with DRAM voltage?
