Better CPU vs More Ram?

Hey, I've got a few old computers with broken parts so I'm hoping to use the working parts to make one good working computer. Anyways, I've got two motherboards to choose from, one of which can hold 4GB of Ram while the other has only enough slots for 2GB. The issue is one motherboard has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 and the other a Pentium 4 HT. So which would have the most performance? 4GB and a Pentium 4 HT or 2GB and an Athlon 64 X2?

btw, 2 slots doesn't mean 2gb max, it's usually 16gb or 32gb max, according to the maker of the motherboard.

@ComputerTech82 I'm aware but I'm trying to only use parts on hand.

Just found out the Pentium computer has an ATI Radeon X600 video card on the other a ATI Radeon X1300 would that change anything?

No. You can exchange the cards if you want.
