Recently got into Disk Diagnostics, and found my oldest Seagate Drive has 905 bad sectors.

It's got a 32mb cache, 7200 RPM. 1TB HDD.

Bought it for ever ago, so long ago I don't even remember how much I paid for it.

Is this drive still worth using? As soon as I saw it had 905 Bad Sectors, I backed up all the data on it, and wiped it, now I've got Seatools working on a Long Generic to see if it'll fix the problems.

I have no idea if 905 bad sectors is a lot, or nothing. Or what.

Hi there Muezick,

As there are some bad sectors on the drive, it is considered to be unreliable. Even though you can slow down the process with methods like: writing zeros, chkdsk, etc., bad sectors will eventually continue to appear.
My advise would be to get another primary drive(OS and all the important data) and use your current drive as a secondary one for storing non crucial information.
