Those are not MoCA but they do a similar function. There are a couple competing systems since this is how the whole house DVR junk is done by directtv and cable companies. Some use actual MoCA and other use their own proprietary systems. Most true MoCA stuff is sold under actiontec brand name.

How fast any of these run depends on the quality of the coax cable in your house and how many splitters are between and if the splitters are rated for data use.

If you are talking about running this over actual telephone lines and not coax I have no clue those are even more specialized and proprietary devices.
Other appliances on the same circuit can cause noise which degrades signal, and even if you get better throughput, it does not mean that you won't have latency issues which is most important for online gaming. It's worth a try if you're out of options. As I said in your other post, if you have an old router you could set it up as a repeater. It may help and won't cost anything.

The point about different circuits upstairs and downstairs is a good one although I have read that powerline adapters can work in that situation but far from there best.

I use powerline adapters for my flat and they halved the ping I used get when gaming on WiFi, now I get 20-40 instead of 60-80 so I my situation they were a good choice

well the problem with the old router is that i dont know how to set it up ive tried and it doesnt give me internet acess, it lights up but no access if i uses it for ethernet in my room or wifi idk what to do i cant stnd this....

Powerline should work better than wireless for gaming. It tends to be not as fast as wireless but once you get it to work it tends to be much more stable. But it might actually be faster when you are a far distance for wireless. Games are much more dependance on the quality since most use very little bandwidth. Since it is still a radio signal it is subject to interference. Vacuum cleaners tend to kill them but anything with a motor causes issues.

They work best when they are on the same circuit breaker but pretty much they work anyplace. The breakers are all connected in the electrical panel it just depends how long a path the data must take. The main exception lately is the new arc fault breakers they require on new homes. Some brands completely block powerline signals...then again most new houses also have ethernet run to every room.

All you can do is try and see how well they work. In general most people that have wireless issues find that powerline networks improve there network. You really don't have many other options.

thankyou for being so insightful and thorough! You are very right i cant run any cat wires through the house since i dont have enough and can cant snake it through the house. Do you think this powerline adapter will suffice or is there abetter one you would suggest?

All the powerline chips in the inside are made by 2 companies no matter whose name is on the outside so you will not see a huge difference between brands. Pretty much you get 200m,500m, 600m devices based on which homeplug standard they meet. The 500m are the ones most people buy because they work better than the 200m ones and the 600m ones are expensive for only a small increase.

Almost needless to say like wireless you get nowhere near these speeds. You might get 70-80m but many people see 20-30m even going 3 floors in a house.

haha okay thanks ill just stick with the powerline adapters for now...
Also one more question, waht kinda of speed for down loads would i expect in an estimate if i get at least 50-100 mbps from these adapters, im not too sure how to break dwon speeds for internet it confuses me so much...

You will never get more than you buy from your ISP, so if these run 50m and your ISP is only 25m you will only get 25m.

How fast it takes to download depends on lots of things but most are related to the site you are getting the files from. Some have artificial limits so that one user does not use up all their internet bandwidth.
