My current PC is:
CPU: i3 4130
RAM: 8gb
GPU: 7950 HD
PSU: strider 500w gold 80+
monitor: 1080p

The games I currently play are nba 2k15, fifa 15, all BF games, all COD games, all assassin creed games and shadow of mordor. All of those all run fine on my current rig. Which build above will give me the best performance for for future games like mortal kombat x, BF hardline, project cars and GTA V? Im wondering if I should upgrade my cpu to an i5 or just keep my i3 and add another 7950? With Direct X 12 and other api's coming soon which rig sound the best.

Solution
grab the i5, would your mobo even support crossfire at the right speed in the pci slot?

I've had a stock i5 3570k and hd 7950 since 2012 and have had no problems playing anything on 1080p ultra, or at the worst high settings. The dual core will start to struggle in newer games though, especially in multiplayer. You could sell the i3 and then the i5 upgrade wouldn't cost much.

Admirable
You will need new PSU for 2 cards and also you need a good motherboard that have 2 fast PCIe 3.0 x8 slots to make that crossfire work fine, also i3 can barely handle 1 7950 so 2 will be too much for it and you wont get anything with that especially in BF games.even now i3 holds back your GPU in BF games so if you want better performance 1st grab i5 and then later stronger GPU or one more 7950.And about DX 12 it will take some time before DX12 games start to come out.It will be new technology so game company's need to adept to it.
